Frequently Asked Questions

Are there odors in the paint you use?

On residential applications, we will mostly try to use a 0 VOC product to eliminateany paint odors

We will always let you know the exact product being used as well as give you a copy of the manufacturers specifications "Data Sheet" of each specific product.

Can you provide references?

Yes, we have built great relationships with our clients and many are very willing to share their positive painting experience with you. Just ask us and we will give you a list of clients willing to share their experience.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We are insured, and will gladly provide you with a copy of our insurance certificate at any time during your project. You can also go to the state website to verify.

What are the different paint sheens?

Sheen refers to the level of light reflectivity of a painted surface. While manufacturers may use different terminology, paint sheens generally fall into the following categories, listed from lowest to highest reflectivity

    FINISH

- Flat

- Matte

- Eggshell

- Satin

- Semi Gloss

- High Gloss

DO I NEED TO HAVE DRYWALL DAMAGE REPAIRED PRIOR?

We are experienced in drywall installation and repair, and minor repairs can be done as part of the painting process.

I HAVE RECEIVED SEVERAL ESTIMATES, AND THERE SEEMS TO BE WIDE VARIANCE IN THE PRICE. WHY IS THAT?

There are many factors to consider when reviewing a painting estimate. Unlike Nordic Painting, some new or inexperienced companies may not be properly licensed or insured. In many cases, work is subcontracted to lower-cost painters who may lack formal training in safety standards or proper surface preparation techniques.

Another important consideration is the quality of materials being used. While lower-cost paints may reduce the initial price, they often fade, wear, or fail prematurely.

For these reasons, it is important to evaluate more than just price when selecting a painting contractor

PAINT IS PAINT, SO WHY SHOULD I SPEND MORE WHEN I COULD SPEND LESS?

As with most products, the quality of materials matters. Lower-grade paints may reduce the initial cost, but they often wear, fade, or fail prematurely—resulting in higher long-term maintenance and repainting costs.

Higher-quality paints are formulated with advanced components that improve adhesion, sealing, and durability against everyday wear and natural elements. Whether used for interior or exterior applications, premium paints can last significantly longer—often up to twice as long—than lower-end alternatives when properly applied.
